solkryssare 109 Posted May 17, 2010 (edited) Hi Omega Knights. Im in Beijing right now and bought this 42 mm PO. Its my first omega rep and I only bought it to see if I like it as much I thought I would and start my search for a gen. Well I paid 50 USD for this so I know its not the greatest, but how bad is it? I know nothing about PO's and It would be fun to know how far from the Real deal this is. No Omega, but damn its an amazing structure. sorry for the bad pics. Light isnt that good in our room since some stupid mail order designer decided limited lightning is cool Edited May 17, 2010 by solkryssare
dingle 57 Posted May 17, 2010 $50....can't go wrong IMO paging houndoggie
graman 2 Posted May 17, 2010 If that's a 42mm mate, I'd say you did pretty well, on face value... ....I'd be happy with it...depending on price....
jmd33 0 Posted May 17, 2010 (edited) It looks fine - I'd pay $50 for that in a minute. Standard tells like the large, misplaced He and 45mm bezel - but the pearl is good. You can feel fine about wearing it. Edited May 17, 2010 by jmd33
KinCaidk 0 Posted May 17, 2010 It's not that bad for 50 bucks. but that strap looks awfull!! on that watch anyway. Get a bracelet or a rubberstrap for it... pronto!
graman 2 Posted May 17, 2010 Agreed...Nato looks horrible..... Need a bracelet or rubber....would look tasty then...
KBH 7 Posted May 17, 2010 Looks pretty much like the standard 21j that everyone is selling. He valve is wrong size and place. UPO style bezel teeth instead of proper coin edge. But, all in all, it's a decent rep. Especially at that price.
AustinTech 0 Posted May 17, 2010 Thats really not bad at all for $50. The movement could be crap though.
oscarmadfish 0 Posted May 17, 2010 certainly seen worse
graman 2 Posted May 17, 2010 For $50, you can drop a new engine under the hood.....

But, all in all, it's a decent rep. Especially at that price. In addition to what KBH has noted the P in Planet on the back could be larger, but how many people are going to be turning your watch over for a good look. I just recently bought a very nice 42.5 mm PO from WBK (for a little more than twice what you are paying) and IMO it is a perfect size. A bracelet or a better strap is a must though. Did you happen to see any 42.5 black dials with orange numbers??? I would like to have a couple of those. Thanks for the post, and let us see more as your trip goes on. Luthier 1 Posted May 17, 2010 I think it's the same watch with 21J mov't, that we buy for $120+ from dealers.
