Photo Contest...?

I don't know if they have been done in the past, so I just want to put it out there. How would the admin feel about holding a photo contest, the only prize is having fun and sharing our collection one photo at a time. I know there are several members that might be interested, but more importantly I hope it would encourage the members that don't participate as much to join in.

 

The idea is simple, photos to be e-mailed to a specific e-mail address in a certain size, than the pics hosted and a thread started with just pics no names. This way the only deciding factor will be the shot, not how expensive the watch or how popular the member.

 

Again, I don't know if it's been done before or if there have been bad experiences with such comps, but I thought I would ask and gauge the interest and support.

Honestly Luthier, I have won other comps, it's not about winning really *cough *cough...

But I will go one better, I even volunteer to be the one who sets up the e-mail address and

I also will not par take in the comp (the first few times). Just to prove I'm genuine about it involving everyone,

and it not beeing about winning.

Why do we need a competition ? Just keep posting your photo's on the wristshot thread or start a new eyecandy thread and encourage others to join in.

great idea GC. I did this a month or so ago and even tried to giveaway some "VIP" upgrades with it. However, there were only 5 who entered. I have come to the grim reality that most of us mere mortals sucks when it comes to taking pics.

 

So let's try it again. ......... I love looking at pics...........

We should do "hometown pics" - pictures that kinda show what your hometown looks like. Or something like that. I don't know. Since we have such an international group here, pictures like that would be interesting.

Oke guys, looks like it's a goer!

I see Spirit lurking down there already

Give us a week or so to set this up but I think a series of four shots, two watch related and two open

will be the go. We will hash out the finer details and post an official announcement.

Don't forget I need to find some judges first.
