Wiz 0 Posted June 3, 2010 Got my dial and hands back from Goin, where they were on vacation to get relumed, so I've decided to put the watch back together. While it was opened, I've also took the time to waterproof it and to change the face screws to get a better match with the face finish. The watch was already taken apart, so I dont' have pictures of the dismounting, but I've made another thread where I was explaining how to opening, so I won't dwell on it. The only dismounting steps were the crystal and the crown/tube gaskets: Once I have a naked face and a naked case, I start "Cape Coding" the case to get a finish closer to the gen (the rep is a little too mate), before cleaning it with a clean cloth and Rodico. Next step is to fix the .... (I don't know how it's called in english... "insert"?) so it won't knock against the crystal and do this "cling cling cling" noise everytime you move your arm. Not only it is pretty anoying, but it's also a huuuuuuuge tell! Now I'll take care of the crystal sealing/waterproofing. First I apply UV glue, then I press the crystal back, and finally I put it under an UV lamp. Now I fix/waterproof the back screws using a light threadlocker. Greasing the gaskets. New face screws. KBH 7 Posted June 3, 2010 That's about the best lume I've seen on a watch. Great job.
Member X 91 Posted June 3, 2010 I love it, much better than gen, even! Although the gen has no lume on the seconds hand, which is rubbish! lol

chocolatelvis 0 Posted May 13, 2011 Hi. I'm new to this forum and by the way you did an incredible job! Not sure if this is the correct thread to ask this question, but where did you get you replica Bell & Ross? I'm looking for a BR 01 Airbourne and a BR 01-94 and not sure which site is the best place to get a replica. Also, would you consider waterproofing mine if I were to send it to you? Thanks, Karl

Thanks, Karl Hey Karl, What's your budget? Which continent/country are you on/in? The Trusted Dealers (link at the top of this page) can source all the rep B&Rs available, along with any of the other reps that are out there. Read some reviews, email a pic and details of what you're looking for to the one that takes your fancy, they can tell you if they can get it You should be able to get a decent BR01-94, I think, but I'm not sure there's a good rep of the Airborne. Depending on your country you may have someone not that far away to service and/or waterproof :(
