kamma 1 Posted August 22, 2013 Well my first rep has arrived, to say I was exited was and understatement when the Mrs text'd me to say Fedex had just been After a few comms with Toro who was very quick to reply to my questions I ordered the 44, Next day (last Friday) he sent me the WU details so I duely totted off into town and sent the money, I send Toro the MTCN number from my phone outside the shop And by the time I got home I had a reply telling me he had picked the money up and would shortly send me the QC pics, I had to nip out so got them by the time I returned home around 5pm (UK) I returned the email telling him to go ahead and send it, I had a reply Saturday morn when I got up saying he would send it on Monday, sure enough Monday I got the tracking number (4.30 China) Using this I was able to track the parcel at its every stop asnd it gave me an estimated delivery of Friday 23rd by 6pm, Anyway I only had half a days work today and purposely didnt book anything in for tomorrow due to wanting to make sure I was there, but come just after 8am today and I gets a text to tell me 'My Package' had arrived Now to me thats excellent service, less than a week from China to UK, christ I cant get mail from London that fast :lmao: So heres a few shots of the unpacking etc, I will get some better shots once the daughter comes back as shes got some fancy Nikon all singing/dancing job, these iPhone ones will have to do for now. Hope you enjoy......... Fedex Inside the bag, plenty of protection. Out of the bubblewrap, Double bagged also. 2nd bag Out of bag still with protection on With protection removed. Ive set the time/date and the window is fine, it was on the move with it being 11:45 Im made up with it and it being my first rep, I was very sceptical about ordering a rep until I found RWG, Reading up and doing my homework deffo made this experience enjoyable, Toro were 1st class in everyhing they did, If this is the way they do business then I cant see it being to long until they are back in the trusted TD section. lizzyfan 1 Posted August 22, 2013 I have the same watch but in white. I've had it a few months now and am very impressed with it's time keeping. It is running about 4 seconds per day fast. kamma 1 Posted August 23, 2013 Seems I have a problem with it Its not working, the second hand is not moving and I cannot hear any ticking sound from the case if I put my ear to it. Ive tried winding it up.........Nothing, Its like its frozen in time. It was fine when I looked at it this morning, came back this afternoon and found it not working, is there anything that can go wrong with the Asian 2824-2 movements. Ive email Toro about it so waiting to see what they say. What would you do? send it back or try and get it fixed more local? Reading up it seems the post to China can be a nightmare. I'd first take the case back off to see if there is anything obviously wrong with it, then if I couldn't solve it myself I'd look for a local watch maker. kamma 1 Posted August 30, 2013 Well just a quick update, I've decided not to send it back and have found a watch smith on rwi in the uk who is going to have a look at it and perform a full service and regulate. To me it's worth spending the service costs (and parts if needed) as its truly stunning on the wrist and I love it!!! My fave watch so far and as close to the gen as I've seen. I've just got to wait now until Alex gives me a shout as he's a waiting list ATM. But the reviews he gets I'm sure it will be worth the wait. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
