jojo8989 0 Posted June 9, 2010 I'm curious, there are no stickies on it and anyone who gets it done always sends it to someone. It seems like it would be incredibly hard to get it perfect. Case in point....how the hell can someone do this freehand? Just wondering if anyone has done it or if there are any good tuts out there (we need one here!) robbnj 0 Posted June 9, 2010 Ziggy's work: That borders on ridiculous! Do you have any close-ups of the dive time ring (specifically the "reverse lumed" section)?
Luthier 1 Posted June 9, 2010 Unfortunately no. Only this one.
jojo8989 0 Posted June 9, 2010 ok that just seems ridiculous... seriously. how do you do that!? Is it just a steady hand and a fine paintbrush or is there some sort of trick?
Luthier 1 Posted June 9, 2010 No any tricks, just straight shot in half-dark room.

graman 2 Posted June 9, 2010 Mate...I'd suggest (what I'm planning, anyway) get a shitload of crappy dials from cast off's. Some 10-20um lume from Glowinc Some additional gear, and a big bastard magnifying glass.... And practice....I reckon that's about all we can do!
Member X 91 Posted June 9, 2010 Who wants to buy lume from GlowInc? Is it worth doing a group buy of some kind?
jojo8989 0 Posted June 9, 2010 Who wants to buy lume from GlowInc? Is it worth doing a group buy of some kind? whats the damage on that stuff? Because I'm up for a group buy. I want to do a b&r like the one at the top. Also, how do you get the "cast offs"?

Member X 91 Posted June 9, 2010 I think the problem we may have is that we will need to email them to say that we want to buy x ounces in bulk, but we would like it separated out into 1 ounce containers, for example.... They will hopefully be open to this and give us some savings, but I'm not sure it will be as good as if we were just buying one big container! If we can all chime in then one of us can email to ask for a quote (Oh, and we need to decide colours and size of particles too! http://glowinc.com/SearchResult.aspx?CategoryID=7 I'm guessing we want 5-15 or, at a push, 15-35?) no_one 0 Posted June 9, 2010 I think the problem we may have is that we will need to email them to say that we want to buy x ounces in bulk, but we would like it separated out into 1 ounce containers, for example.... It's only $8.00 for 1/4 oz. plus couple of bucks for shipping. Cheap enough as is. And 1/4 oz will lume 20-30 dials.
