She is probably super busy!

Try to chat with her on gmail (google talk), she is usually on and answers right away.

A day or so sounds excellent, particularly as she will be on a totally different time zone. First lesson to learn in the rep hobby is PATIENCE.

LOL

A day?

And you're moaning?

She is quick but she's not that quick :D :P

She has about 100 emails a day at the moment, as I understand it - and if she's buying watches for only 10% of those, she has to go out into the markets, buy 10 watches from perhaps 10 different factories across town, bring them all back to the workshop, give them a full inspection, set up and photograph them from multiple angles, reduce the file sizes so they can be emailed, sit down and write all the emails to all the different people, attach the photos (slow if it's anything like my connection!), then put the watches into her test routine to make sure they are all keeping good time. Then she will have to package up watches for buyers from previous days, write all the envelopes, fill in all the EMS forms, go to the post office, deal with the clerk while sending out however many packages she has to send, getting the tracking numbers so she can email the customers with the numbers, get back and email the numbers, and THEN she can sit down and go through all the enquiry emails! :D

And that's not including having a personal life!

I am only really guessing as to her day but I think I've covered most things she has to do! ;)

Don't feel bad about being impatient for a response, we all are really ;) but be aware that the key to the rep game is 3 things - patience, patience, patience ;) lol

She will come back to you in a couple of days usually, rarely more than 4 (unless she's got your watch on test and is then packaging it up ready to ship, which can take 4 or 5 days) but if you just email her once then say to yourself to give it a week before chasing her, you will give her a chance to respond and also set yourself a mental time limit in your head to work to, rather than watching the hours tick by and clicking refresh on your inbox ;) (We've all been there  lol)

What are you looking to get anyway? Feel free to post pics when Mary sends them! :P

I too had problems a couple of months ago - she would reply to emails within half an hour, but then go silent for a week. I sent a message asking for a price on a watch and how pay, and never got a reply to that. Not sure if maybe there are email issues perhaps? Because from things everyone has said, she is the go to dealer at the moment.

I suppose good things come to those who wait, i believe she is 8 hours infront so the probability of me getting an email back today(current time in UK is 11:25) is slim haha

Sounds like my experience with Mary, which was fine by me. I just received a rep Yachtmaster (posted in Watch Int'l forum). The watch was everything she said it would be. I had questions before buying and typically, she would respond within a day or two (I'm in the US).

Uff, you think the replica business works that way? I don't know if this is enough economical - dealer woul not have any profit.

In my opinion it is more likely they buy 10, 50 or 100 examples of each model and then sell it wholesale. Probably they do not go to the post office for sending single watch, I guess. They can also print all the adresses and just stick it on the envelope, no writting is needed. :) They might also check all the watches before they even put it on sale. :beer2:

I don't know, I'm just guessing. ;)

+1 to most of the people here. It takes a great deal of effort to be a dealer. Even more to be a really good one like mary.

Patience is a virtue, she deals with a lot of people and goes to great lengths to make sure the watch you get is the best one possible for the money.

She'll get back to you don't worry just hang tight.

I'm currently waiting on a response for a big order but you I'm not getting my panties in a bunch over a couple of days.

You would be surprised!

All the watches I've had from Mary have had hand-written labels on them, and the packaging is exceptionally good - protective plastic film on the watch head and bracelet and clasp, in a small plastic bag, in lots of bubblewrap, in a foam box, in a brown cardboard outer box, in a padded envelope!!

Mary does not yet have the financial clout to buy wholesale and sell them off as and when, as I understand it - I believe she may go out and buy perhaps a few of a new and popular watch, but she's certainly no Robert with stocks of hundred! (I think Robert said his stock tally was over $1.6m recently, and probably more :o)

She also specialises in searching for watches on request, even if they are rarer replicas or custom builds, so that undoubtedly takes quite a bit of time.

I think she's doing an amazing job so far. I only hope that she can maintain this level of service as demand for her services grows! :P

As for profit, I'm sure that the dealers (whoever they are) make enough off individual sales - offering a free re-ship if a watch is seized indicates that there is some level of contingency built into the pricing structure, but I am happy to pay that little bit more in order to guarantee delivery. That is partly why Robert can offer watches so cheaply - he sometimes sells on wholesale T&Cs, so if it gets seized there is no re-ship option, which means that he doesn't have to add any contingency into his pricing structure and can therefore offer his crazy-low special offer prices.

They are different business models and enable us to pick and choose depending on how confident we feel about custom seizures or risk of loss, which is an entirely good thing as it means we as buyers have options ;)

You're guessing wrong. ;) In fact there are a few dealers who work that way.

If you set up a Paypal account (if she's still taking paypal?) then it shouldn't cost you much, perhaps only $7 or so for a Gift payment (if she specifies a gift payment, which I don't think she's done before).

Or Western Union is about £8 to send, if I remember correctly.

Hold off and keep saving! :)

heard from mary this morning... she recieved my payment (via paypal) and is off to source my watch as she didnt have one tucked away... so iguess that add's to the doesnt carry much in the way of stock comments. as for email contact i cant complain she's pretty swift at answering emails, longest wait i've had is 24hrs, but usual get answer in less than 8 hrs

I don't have any complaints about Mary, she always answered very quickly and was very nice and helpful. The only thing that scared me a little was that after having paid her, I had to wait a couple of days before getting any response for her.....

....and you know, leaving 500 bucks to a person you don't know (especially in this field where scammers are the majority) and having no warranty at all in case of being scammed made me a little paranoid....

...but that's ok, everything is ok now and my watches are on thier way home

YOU don't know???

But we DO know, and it mean you don't trust any of us, our trusted dealers list, and for that you should be banned, damned, cruxified, burned alive and all your reps confiscated!!!

 :Talk to the Hand: :D
