Foxindebox 465 Posted September 3, 2013 Hi guys, Just thought I would put up a few pictures of my latest project. I really love the look of the Doxa Professional diver and Also love the Seiko Turtle Diver. As many of you might know, there is a great mod to turn one into a great homage to the other. Anyway, this was what I started with. One Seiko 6309-7040 purchased from fleabay (in pretty good condition but not all original). First things first, bracelet off and caseback opened. Movement out. Before bezel removal. Bezel off and insert removed. That's it for now, more to follow

Foxindebox 465 Posted September 3, 2013 Update...... Case is now fully apart and the crystal (and gubbins) is out. New dial and hands now on (both from Dagaz). I had to remove the dial feet and glue it to the movement holder as it was meant to fit the newer 7S26 movement not the old 6309 (which was easy peasy as I'd marked the 12 o'clock position with a marker before removing the old dial). I could have used dial dots, but I'm a bit OCD (or to be alphabetically correct, CDO) and I REALLY wanted it to stay stuck. Bezel insert glued in as it was slightly too small, so would not "friction" in (not sure that's actually a verb). Right then. All ready for re-assembly tomorrow! That's all folks. Foxindebox 465 Posted September 4, 2013 Right then. He are the final pics showing the finishing steps and my shiny new SOXA in all of it's glory!! Brushed aluminium chapter ring in place. This was my first time using a crystal press, so gently does it. Movement in, gasket greased...... Caseback on and ready for the bezel. Ta dah!!!! BOR bracelet from Yobokies and I'm a very happy chappie. All in all, this was not a difficult build to do. I'm stoked with how it looks, it hits all of my Doxa buttons and was a lot cheaper! Hope you all like it (I know I am, and that's what counts right?). Cheers Rich
