What's with all these Seiko watches these days? Is not this a rep forum? :)

Yesterday my old friend came and asked me if I could fix his dear old watch.

What kind do you believe it was ................ a Seiko diver :D

Belive it's a 7548-700B from early 80's

So what to do with it........?

Hmm, is it past it sell by date? - bury it, let it rest in peace? - punt?

This is my friend's piece, so I can't do that.

Have done some research and found out, that I can get a new strap, bezel and crystal for $ 43 shipped ....... I wonder ;)

Id change the crystal and bezel id leave the dial and hands alone they've developed a nice wasabi (seiko speak for patina)

Just the right amount of wasabi for that "real man" look. Ain't nobody gonna mess with you. ;)

Is not this a rep forum? :)

Nope, it's a general-purpose watch forum for reps, gens, homages... Always has been, always will be :)
