narikaa 129 Posted September 4, 2013 Listening to the watchgoblin muttering in my subconscious I was half heartedly searching the net for a SEIKO SNZH57J1 knowing only too well it would be just another in my collection that would never be worn. Though I argued with the watchgoblin he cleverly countered that I could mod it into a 'FiftyFive Fathoms', but said I that would just be a FiftyFive Fathoms slung on the unworn pile wouldnt it..... then I spotted something - a rather charming military watch, distinctive dial nice colour, upscale strap with reinforcement over the holes, and a goodly 42mm size. The watchgoblin was baying for blood now like Son of Sam's neighbour's dog a few mouse clicks later and it was bought A few days in shipment and the inevitable stupidities of Thai postal deliveries and here it is : Typical Seiko LunacyLume... With just a walk back indoors A bit darker: Darker still: .

Wriggles 12 Posted September 4, 2013 This Seiko virus is all encompassing, even the dealers are bitten :o ..... Must stay away, must stay away....... Nice watch, and different strap. Interesting to see some not so perfect application of lume on the 12 marker on a gen Seiko, and it doesn't make a blind bit of difference. Something to note for the newer members

JasperB 0 Posted September 11, 2013 There is a Seiko I've seen a picture of, limited to Asia I think, that strongly resembled a Patek Nautilus. I've looked everywhere but can't find it again.
headhunt3r 0 Posted September 11, 2013 I almost bought the PVD version of that... - the SNZG17 Cool thing about the all black version is that the numbers are lume'd too.
Baldrick 1 Posted September 11, 2013 Unfortunately in the face of the OPs Seiko, the PVD version looks very pedestrian and uninspiring......with absolutely none of the pizazz.... JMHO....BIKIR
ShovelnTC 31 Posted September 11, 2013 I'm a big fan of anything military (watches) and prefer BIG numerals but that one is a beauty and great prices as well. Enjoy!
