Wife's Chanel J12 keeps stopping

Recommended Posts

graman

Hey guys!

Purchased a Chanel J12 for my wife's birthday back in Feb....

Had a couple of spontaneous stops....didn't think much of it until last week when I replaced the battery.

Last night, it happened again, and then again tonight, both after I replaced the battery.

Have emailed Josh....and shall see what he wants to do...have offered to send back, or he can send me a new movement & I'll fit it.

Why I posted this was...has anyone else had this problem with the J12's?...I thought they were pretty bullet proof.

Secondly, it pisses me off.....when she's happy with her watches, I don't get criticism for buying watches...when they don't work, I get curry!

Man!...

I'm sure this will work out....I would just rather it be one of mine! ;)

BT...yep..it ticks....quartz only.

Ding...go for it!...it's lovely!

Certainly worthwhile...just make sure you've got some tools to adjust the bracelet...it's a bastard!

KBH

Mrs. KBH has had one for about 8 months and I just replaced the battery a couple of weeks ago. Can't imagine a quartz stopping unless you're not getting a good contact on the battery. You might try taking it out and cleaning and/or bending the battery contacts for a tighter fit.

Will have another crack, but Josh has offered to take it back and swap the movements.

It's a cheap shitty seiko...would rather just buy one here and do it myself...would be cheaper than freight.

Hmmm I've referred a few friends on to Josh...all have had problems with shit batteries or crappy power reserve, but not enough to send back.

Shame...he's been easy to do business with, but the quality coming out of the drop ship factories must be dropping.
