Gen dial is very hard to source and it took me a lot of effort to track one down. Other gen parts were relatively easy. Goin did the mod and the chrono hands are still too long on reps, so once he get them sorted out, this baby is heading home.

But gen 7159 costs like 20k ;) and this little thing starts to grow on me.

No way in hell would I spend anything like that sort of dough on a rep. I don't care how good it is or how much the gen costs.

$4k is way too much, and I would guess with some research, time, and patience you will find an alternative for less that half that.

That my dilemma, how far should people go for a rep, with gen movement and correct dial/hand set, should it have higher value for money compare to gen since I will not have issue serving it.

My other choice would be a nicely modded reverse dial colour with correct (YUKI) handset and gen (but not ken) movement. (for Asian market) tudor 7032 at price of 1400.

:hss: Don´t!

My limit goes at 400 USD and I do not bother with frankens. They´re never going to feel like a gen.

Holy crap Batman what's wrong with you..... $4k on a Rep even if Elvis made it with the help of Marilyn Monroe it would not be worth that.

You can get a Gen Black Bay for that amount of corn.

You need your head checked if you're even entertaining the idea of dropping 4K on a rep! :lolcina:

Honestly, you would be much better off getting a gen Tudor Heritage Chronograph, and adding a cyclops to the crystal. At least the gen THC will have some resale value, and it is quite a visually faithful homage to the Monte Carlo.

Meah, your money. If you want it bad enough and it's coin you can afford to spend why not? Lots of folk spend far more than that with Phong.

I got some good discount and some freebie. And he fixed some flaws as I requested, so I m generally happy. Though it's a lots of money throwing on a rep, but I guess this is going to be my last purchase. (Hopefully)
