I don't understand - it can't possibly be cheaper to make two and then arse around with sticking them together accurately, than it is just to make one the correct size?? The new release has is mounted through the back, I am pretty sure. Some of the PAMs have a sapphire/mineral laminate crystal. Can you tell me the diameter? houndoggie 58 Posted June 11, 2010 I'm guessing it'll be thicker than that. The gen is 4.9mm thick. I am thinking that the Chinese couldn't find 35 x 4.9mm thick sapphire so they used whatever 35mm crystals they had then sandwiched a mineral crystal to the back to make up the difference.
