James. 4 Posted September 14, 2013 There was a bit of discussion a few weeks ago about this one, but as far as I can tell, not a dedicated thread so considering I recently received an email from the company adv the 1st batch starts shipping today/tomorrow, I figured "why not" You have to ask yourself, or after reading the below, is the the best bang for your buck watch available right now? Specifications: Automatic Calibre : Miyota 9015 Material : SUS316L Stainless Steel Frequency : 28,800 bph (beats per hour) Accuracy : +/- 10 sec/day Dial : SuperLuminova Lumed (C1) indices Hands Hour : 2 Face blasted Skeleton hand fill superluminova lume (C1) Minute : 2 Face blasted Skeleton hand fill superluminova lume (C1) Second : blasted Skeleton hand fill superluminova lume (C1) Case : 316L Stainless Steel- Brush - Blasted - DLC Black Coating Bezel : 120 Clicks uni-directional bezel Movement holder : 316L Stainless Steel Dimensions : 42mm diameter, 12mm thickness include Case Back, 10mm thickness without Case Back Lug to Lug width : 51mm Automatic Helium Escape Velve (Operate on 4 atm pressure inside) Lug width : 20mm Lug to Lug width : 50mm Crown : Stainless Steel - Brush Finishing - Blasted Finishing - DLC Black Coating Water Resistance: 20 ATM / 200 meters Case back: Solid 316L Stainless Steel Crystal : Sapphire(Single side anti-reflective coated) Net Weight with Bracelet : 214g Package included : 1 Spare screw bar & screw 2 Medium Soft PU strap 3 Instruction Manual 4 Warranty Card $279 for brushed $289 for blasted $299 for DLC Blue or Black bezel/dial combo -$300 for a 200m WR watch, shipped, with box, spare strap and tool. WTF? Logically, I'm expecting some corners to be cut in terms of production precision, it's so damned cheap, and appears to be coming loaded with cool stuff. There was a little bit of contention on the WUS thread about the "30" being upside down, but really, im not diving with this, nor would many people, so the bezel 30 is almost redundant for me. I love the dial/hands combo design, and the lug shape, as far as I can see it'll look the balls on rubber as well as the cool SS strap it'll come mounted on, and I also suspect mesh. TheSav 2 Posted September 14, 2013 My advice is to get one while you can. I have an Obris Morgan Nevon and its a hell of a watch for the money. I'll be getting one of these as well. You'd be hard pressed to find anything as good for the price. It certainly looks and feels like it cost more.
Bash64 17 Posted September 14, 2013 Seems like pretty good value to me. And, as stated, nice looking watch.

What colour option did you go for? After much deliberation I opted for pvd with blue bezel and dial.

I opted for the brushed black, mainly because I have the Seiko 455 as my "blue" diver, and i'm eyeing off a blue SOH so don't need to get too blue heavy in the collection. That said, I can see me ordering a blasted one in the future too, the blue really pops though
TheSav 2 Posted September 14, 2013 That blasted with blue does look good. I just wanted to go for something different in the collection.

Looks to be quite the beast, the bracelet will be very important in stopping the watch being too top heavy, but the crown, case and CG looks good so far, dial design and bezel would be nice to see, though. HeavyKrush 16 Posted September 14, 2013 Wow, amazing price. If the quality is anything like Sav's recent pickup, no corners are cut. Looking forward to the reviews gents.

markeym3 2 Posted September 14, 2013 I like these companies that bring out a small limited run of a watch , and you know the quality is there too such good value for a nicely made automatic watch.. it looks a bit like my Korsbeck , the case is made by Fricker with a swiss ETA movement ,, But yeah gonna looki into this Obris .. Thanks for bringing to the forum ...
James. 4 Posted September 14, 2013 1st run is 600 apparently, but unsure whether that's 100 or each type (brushed, blasted and dlc in black and blue) or 600 of each type. That reminds me, time to check tracking
