James. 4 Posted September 24, 2013 Arrived today, no point posting pics as Baxters are better than anything I can do on a camera phone at work. For $280 IMO this is better value than the recent Seiko SRP455 monster. Solid watch without being too top heavy a la DSSD, I personally love the lug shape, very GMT2, a bit chunkier but the watch is all the better for it. Obris have really gone about designing their own watch than piggybacking off someone else's design here. Some of the finish could be better, the clasp of course, but one thing that is getting on my nerves is the AR on the xtal, or lack there of, really gives the impression that the dial colour is different than the bezel. Mine is black brushed but this is probably exemplified on the blue too. The bezel if quite nice, gives off a faux ceramic matt look in some light (looooove ceramics ) and contrary to my previous ambivalence, the bracelet is quite nice, adds a little bit of retro cool to the modern case/bezel combo without going overboard. Dial, look, very minimalist but that was obvious, and clean, simple and neat. I don't mind it being date-less, but a window @6 would also work without overcomplicating the look. I do have one qualm (not about the lume, haven't tested it yet) the dial is very, vey flat. IMO it seems to be crying out for something raised or some applied markers to play off the thick bezel structure. With the bracelet, bezel, HE valve, there's a lot going on with the watch, the dial can cope and hold its own, but a little more texture would make it even better.
