chillihead 0 Posted July 3, 2012 Hi i have a breitling chronomat with A7750 movement its about 1 month old and gains between 15-20 secs a day, is this normal?
Luthier 1 Posted July 3, 2012 It's OK, but could be adjusted better.
chillihead 0 Posted July 3, 2012 how do you adjust it/get it adjusted?
M4rtin 0 Posted July 21, 2012 Wow, great topic Just ordering Tag Carrera Calibre 16 and I it's good that info like this exists, cuz I would mess up the watch probably on the first day
nonsensual 0 Posted September 24, 2012 This may be an odd question, especially seeing as I'm only at the point of getting informed, but was the possibility of swapping the 7750 out for a quartz chrono movement ever entertained?

I'm sure you could but why?
Herbie65 0 Posted October 6, 2012 At post #54 the question is also asked, how to adjust the movement? mine is also running 20 secs a day fast. Is it the arm, with the 2 gold dots, or the one with the black dot? and in which direction? And how to, and where to oil the rotor? http://i1277.photobucket.com/albums/y482/herbie65/foto_zpsc3fed1b3.jpg
trailboss99 988 Posted October 6, 2012 I think it would be best to start a new thread to ask that Herbie

nathtommo_9 32 Posted November 15, 2012 Hi I am after a rep Rolex Daytona and have been offered one from WatchInternational price for it is $198 with Asian 7750 movement. Is it worth it? Having read through the post I have seen many fors and againsts but I do really like the watches. Am I better sticking with my first option of a sub? They seem alot more reliable. Cheers. Daytona's with secs@6 are a time bomb. Most fail before long. Avoid. If you can find a secs@9 model (such as some of the vintage versions) they're MUCH better and a good buy. nathtommo_9 32 Posted November 15, 2012 Are these hard to get hold of then? Do you know anywhere that offers them from the trusted dealers list or does it just require some e-mailing around different dealers? Sorry to be a noob!! Appreciate the help though
greg_r 79 Posted November 15, 2012 The vintage 'tonas are available from most of the trusted dealers and are excellent quality, driven by a handwind Sea-Gull ST19 movement (aka 'lemania') which is about the most reliable chrono movement found in reps. There are some modern secs@9 versions around too, but they're a little rarer - I believe Silix was listing them. The vintage models are generally better quality, though. Any ticking time bomb issues with that model?
nathtommo_9 32 Posted November 15, 2012 Yes Silix is where I have found the one I am after.. This model here... http://www.silix-prime.co/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=115_158_220&products_id=1822 What do you make of that one?

arancini 0 Posted November 15, 2012 Thanks for that trailboss. Bit hesitant at dropping US$300+ for something that's going to stop dead after a few weeks/months.
trailboss99 988 Posted November 15, 2012 Thanks for that trailboss. Bit hesitant at dropping US$300+ for something that's going to stop dead after a few weeks/months. Na, had mine for well over a year. Just don't drop it, ceramic shatters
nathtommo_9 32 Posted November 15, 2012 Thanks mate that's great news! I'm gonna get ordering one tonight. Just out of curiosity have you ever bought a Daytona? Or what is your favourite replica watch you have ever bought?
dejavu157 0 Posted December 1, 2012 Is it ok to reset after i stop the chrono? Or do i have to stop it at a certain point?
onionbag 1 Posted December 1, 2012 Is it ok to reset after i stop the chrono? Or do i have to stop it at a certain point? Some folks say the closer to the 12 the better............but I don't get how that works if you're timing something, kinda seems to be a pointless claim as the return mechanism should be able to cope with any dial stop position. So I'd normally just stop it anywhere.
