8587nm 0 Posted June 16, 2018 Found this watch again after almost 30 years. It has met crude oil, light oil and all in between, Freon 24, mechanics, temperatures between -15° C and 57° C and was travelling between the Wild wild West and Asia. But it is still working to my surprise. I bought it in 1974 in Singapore for $ 125. All is stil original as I bought it and still has the original dirt. the model is a Seiko 6139-7002. Don’t ever let that watch go! p.s. send that watch to Spencer Klein to have it completely serviced and restored. You can find his videos on YouTube, he would be over the moon to work on a watch with such a documented history.
8587nm 0 Posted June 17, 2018 Thank you for the tip. I have seen his video. It seems to be a person with a lot of knowledge. As I have a more modern watch, I'm not sure what to do as my wrists are more thicker then those days as I was a young officer. It is impossible to put it over my wright hand. But the Seiko will stay as it is a part of my personal history.

I had Spencer do the work on my 7002 and couldn't be happier!
