WatchDog21 3,345 Posted July 15, 2015 Great strap combo. Love the way the yellow stripe on the NATO lines up with the yellow sub dials and all.

PeterPC 0 Posted July 17, 2015 Bought this "on the rebound" recently, having missed out on another watch I was after, when my ebay app froze at the critical time of logging a late final bid. It brought back boyhood memories of late night parties, when the girl you were really after left suddenly, but her best friend was still there, and smiling at you seductively, too. Some of those episodes remained short term affairs. Other times long term relationships were established. I hope this one blossums into true love (although I must admit that the cad in me is still looking for the one that got away).
PeterPC 0 Posted July 21, 2015 My first ever Seiko Kinetic, the 5m62-0A10. Have heard mostly good things about Kinetics, so I thought I'd give one a try. For under $100 delivered, it seems an inexpensive experiment. Has great weight to it and a nice chunky bezel, so ticks a lot of boxes for me. And won't need re-setting between wears. Gorgeous blue dial that really shines as well in the right light. I'm quite excited.

I've been wearing it while walking the dog (which is genuinely 2-3 miles each day at weekends and 1-1.5 miles on weekdays) - think I'll need to do something else that involves shaking my wrist back and forward.....oh, wait....! I managed to get mine up to a 1 month power reserve so far. Gave mine the recommended shakes per the instructions and it's now telling me it has the maximum 4-6 months charge. Gotta love that. The only thing I'd do differently next time is probably shake it with a different motion and not whilst sitting on a park bench at lunchtime. I was lucky the cop was a fellow watch addict and familiar with the Kinetic movement. And the 2 older women recovered quickly after a Bex powder and a lay down, so all is chipper in the world again. PeterPC 0 Posted July 30, 2015 Still on this beauty. Bought about a week or 2 ago to trail the kinetic movement and it hasn't missed a beat. Think my next purchase will be another kinetic, after having minor hiccups recently with some autos. Servicing would most likely fix them, but I'm going through a lazy period at the moment and just want to put a watch on in the morning without having to adjust the time. And boy does that dial really bling in the sunlight.
