nathtommo_9 32 Posted September 24, 2013 Hi all, Looking on buying this watch & have just noticed the option for a alternate movement: The 2 options are: Swiss Eta 2836-2 Automatic Movt 25J 28800bph Nickle plated asian clone (Rolex 3156) auto movement, 25J, 28800bph I know that they both have the same BPH but just a bit of guidance would be appreciated. Here is the watch also: http://www.p-cls.com/r41dds00003-pres-smooth-blue-numeral-asian-3156-serials-p-8006.html Thank you in advance! Nathan
greg_r 82 Posted September 24, 2013 Not an intro. Moved to general Avoid the clone 3155/3156 movements - they're basically Asian clones modified to look like Rolex movements. The mods impact reliability and, given that Rolex do not fit display casebacks, are entirely pointless. Go for the standard asian ETA clone if available - Swiss optional.
