twofake 0 Posted October 10, 2013 As the title says, how many RWG members own one ? I know a lot of watch collectors are anal about accuracy. I am looking to buy one and would like to know what model others recommend and how do you use one. Does it just attach to the watch and the user regulates the plus / minus adjuster in the movement ? Please post a link if you have a recommended machine and are the more costly machines worth the extra cost?
LightGeek 25 Posted October 10, 2013 Sometimes there is such a thing as knowing you much. Granted my timegrapher has shown me two movements which were basically having explosive diarrhea in multiple positions which was worth it.
SSTEEL 0 Posted October 10, 2013 I have the 1000 model which is a clone of the more expensive model. A friend of mine, a watchmaker also has the same model, and has compared it with his more expensive Timegrapher, and the results were the same. Where you located? If UK, you are best getting this one to save import duty.. Brand New Mechanical Watch Timing Machine Multifunction Timegrapher No.1000 You can get the 1000 model here cheaper, but then you do run the risk of import duty... Odyseus 1 Posted October 10, 2013 Like Micky, I have the 1000 model. Does the job
DG335 0 Posted October 10, 2013 Yup, have the same model. However, like any tool it's only as good as the person using it. Position of the watch, amount of wind applied, quality of grip to vibration sensor pick up can all make the same watch show as gaining/losing/not working or as Lg says! exploding

TheInthusiest 0 Posted October 12, 2013 Personally, I do not. But at my store we use one once in a blue moon. I usually use it for fun on my reps/gens to see when they need to be serviced.
