graman 2 Posted October 12, 2013 I only do one or two of these per year. This one was commissioned by a board member, but ended up not responding. No drama...it took a long time to make, and in the end, he didn't want it. A second customer (locally, and not on the board) wanted it, but just never came up with the commitment. Again, no hard feelings. The last time I posted one of these, it was on a weekday, and it didn't last long. This one is a bit more expensive than the last one. It owes me a lot more hours than the previous one, and Mammoth has gotten hard to find...I've been looking so I could sustain this type of activity. 40 hours went in to this bugger, and I've reinforced it with a CA coating, which I've not done before. There's also a ferrule of Macassar Ebony on the end to next to the twist to protect the Mammoth. The fittings are Platinum and Black Titanium. No chrome shall touch Mammoth.....Ever. So...that all said, the pricing, which may put people off. $400aud + Shipping by express courier by quote. Likely to be approximately $40-$50aud. Not cheap, but this is between 10,000 and 50,000 years old, and has made me age about the same amount, working with it....More expensive than previously guys...very sorry...I would like to do this one cheaper, but it just owes me too much. SSTEEL 0 Posted October 12, 2013 Stunningly beautiful. I would be scared of dropping the thing though.
graman 2 Posted October 12, 2013 I get scared of dropping most things This one is quite robust with the additional CA on it...It shouldn't need the care that a Raw or unfinished Mammoth product needs, as it's sealed. A good pen for people who want the product, but forget it comes with pretty strict care instructions. I still wouldn't leave this in a hot car, but it's pretty tough. kbates213 0 Posted October 16, 2013 That pen screams class mate. My wife forbids me from buying any nice pens or sunglasses as I have a tendency to lose them; but that is absolutely gorgeous. We need to bump this one a few times.

P4GTR 0 Posted October 17, 2013 G, if I had that kind of money believe you me, this would be in my possession. I think it's time to get a better camera mate, no way those pics do that work of art justice. I am selective of what I feel is important enough to use my custom pen from you. It sits in a crystal cup w/ two other unworthy pens next to me on my desk everyday. Everyday I admire how beautiful it is.
