Great work Pap, you finally got it done after the long wait. Always great to have a speedy in the fold, enjoy and wear it well.

Amazing example of patience, I am impressed over the polishing of the plexiglass, I wouldn't have thought it would come up so well. I'm sure that a second hand 3570.50 would have been cheaper. I'm still considering a 3572.50 or a 3573.50 gen (sapphire display back) so that I can see that beautiful movement. I have a rep quartz ver coming ( which doesn't have the "dial spacing issue" that the seagull ver has, which is based on a 3510 rather than 3570 ) as a wrist tester for a few months while I decide whether to drop 3-4k on the gen. Love this watch.

It's brilliant to see the different stages and all the effort going into a project like this.

Really enjoyed watching the process, thanks for posting. The Speedmaster is a must for Omega owners. Here is my gen with a leather strap. The Speedmaster allows for a lot of versatility.

I had forgotten that I read this thread already and it was still really interesting the second time around.

I suppose you ended up with a spare movement for another project at the end of it all?

A special bracelet arrived! Omega speedmaster 1450 one! Unfortunately parts are missing and it needs work.

If you have in mind someone (besides ofre and cousinsuk) who can find me a clasp, drop me a pm.
