Member X 91 Posted June 27, 2010 This weekend I was helping out at an outside bar. Probably c. 10k people so plenty of wrist watching to be done lol Watches I spotted included: Omega SMP Omega PO orange bezel (smaller version) Omega PO orange bezel (bigger version) Omega PO chrono black bezel Rolex DJ TT x2 Rolex DJ all gold (!) Rolex DJ SS Jubilee bracelet and Diamond markers Rolex Daytona TT white face with gold subdial circles Rolex Sub SS no date Rolex Sub modern version Rolex Sub TT x2 and, something that looked like a vintage PAM?? Although I'm not 100% sure, it looked a bit like this: http://www.jacksontse.com/mm084.html but seemed noticeably big (so probably 47mm), had a knife edge buckle (I think that's what they're called?), bigger cali markers and a sterile dial?? I said "Panerai?" and he said yes, but I couldn't really start getting all WIS on him a PAMs aren't my strongest area! lol

Luthier 1 Posted June 28, 2010 Never understood "no-name" watches. Pity me...
AustinTech 0 Posted June 28, 2010 That is a lot of watches! Not surprising, most were Rolex. I bet most of those were fake.
jkirke 0 Posted June 28, 2010 Holy cow. What kind of outdoor bar party was this? That wouldhave been cool to see all of those pieces.
Member X 91 Posted June 28, 2010 If it looked like this it was a 249, the dial is sterile on the gen too. I reckon that's the one - wears quite impressively big! I hate to think what the gen's worth... lol Good point, everyone else, about the rep/gen thing. It was a music concert and the clientele was mainly middle-aged (40-65) folks, some of whom looked 'monied', if you know what I mean, so I think most of them might have been gen! The Panerai was a rare spot though, and really did jump of the wrist EDIT: Just checked, a 249 is somewhat expensive... lol http://www.pmwf.com/Phorum/read.php?16,166...6441#msg-166441 If it's Sterile Dial, though, why pay that much?! I think I will have to sort out a Tat or Jacskon homage... :yoda: EDIT pt2: Should the 249 be printed or sandwich dial? This looks like a sandwich dial on the macros: http://www.network54.com/Forum/353390/mess...%28reficul_x%29 but this dial seems to be printed?? http://www.network54.com/Forum/246582/mess...21%21+RARE+ITEM
