Note that, the only time you spend $13 on a bag of popcorn is at the movies, right? Just like the only time you spend $2,000 on a Seiko is when enabled by a bunch of RWG hooligans.

Don't start showing me grand Seikos, or mentioning Japan. Save it... :picard:

so... tell me how an Omega, a Breitling is better? the brand? the swiss made dial?

maybe I just haven't bought too many gens and don't understand the "buy what you like and can afford" statement without regard to branding

Omega is better because of the co-axial escapement. Granted it's not hand assembled, but it's a great technology.

Seiko for me is supposed to be affordable 5 point quality watches at average guy prices, not swiss prices based on the moq production of the movement or the method of assembling(which can both be put onto the automation line anytime Seiko pleases).

Personally, this is the most I would spend on a Seiko:

Looks the same, just without the 'marinemaster' and an overpriced movement.

You know co-axial is better just from the brochure?

I agree with KeNnY. He knows his watches. He knows his movements and this is what he wants.

He knows this gen isn't repped.

Best wishes man.

Forget it Real, it's something they will never understand.

Some folk just suffer from Swiss blindness and that's it.

Hate to resurrect an old thread, but did Kenny ever buy this watch? This just hit my radar this morning and I'm loving it. Very well might be my next high value purchase.
