Rolex 50th Anniversary LV

Recommended Posts

I was unsure about getting one of these as I like to get watches that are completely different to those I already have. However, after trying on the gen on hols a month back I had to take the plunge. This just received from Mary (who really is an amazing dealer) with Swiss 2836 - very smooth. Not sure how much wrist time it will get but wearing alot at the moment.

I thought that this would appease my urge to buy some more watches but after getting this one I'm angling for a GMT II. WTF is that about! Thinking about getting IP address barred.

Anyway, feedback and suggestions on mods etc greatly received!

Now some pics -some better than others (thanks to Sconey for pic ideas!)......................................

Change the pearl for a Watch Material one and that's about it mate.

The crown guards are a little off but close enough on these latest models.

+1 for the watchmaterial pearl, it makes a huge difference. The pearl is slightly bigger than the rep pearl, i used a round metal file to make the pearl fit. Be careful not to bend the bezel insert, i broke my ssd bezel while replacing the pearl.

Here's mine, a noobmariner running a 21j movt.

And here's the url where I got the replacement pearl.
