maxwellz2 0 Posted November 8, 2014 (edited) So you did take RWI down. No, I blame Greg's kittens. Now I'm cleaning this shit.... I hope. Diskrepair is running at 62% of disk one right now, let's hope this will get it back up. And Joran this is why in the industry we have paired clusters of our VM's on multiple clustered servers with heavily raid'd arrays with a backup on a VMAX, and a backup of the backup on tape :P The websites never goes down. Best of luck with the recovery and if you need any ideas, i have a few off the wall ones from many years of being an idiot datacenter sysad Edited November 8, 2014 by maxwellz2 Share this post Link to post

Wittnauer 0 Posted November 8, 2014 Thanks for the update and to RWG for having a special section for RWI members. Very impressed. I'm also a member at repgeek as well as RWG here but for some reason had to create a new account here this morning because I wasn't allowed to sign in. Cheers everyone. I just needed to know what was going on and started to feel uneasy with the site down. It's really an addiction Feels good to see you guys here. Wittnauer - RWI Twinbarrel - RWG Twinbarrel - Repgeek Yea... So now I'm Wittnauer here as well - lol Share this post Link to post

DR3M3L 4 Posted November 8, 2014 In about 1 hour from now all files should be on the new server, then it'll be another two hours to set up the database and get the configuration right. Then it's waiting for the DNS to pick up the new IP address. Few more hours and you guys should be able to go home again Share this post Link to post
plankton 1 Posted November 8, 2014 Sorry guys, the old server seems to have gone away. It's totally down, not just a crash so it may well be an issue with the hosts. The guys will be on to it as soon as they wake up, it's still very early in Kansas. The URL for the test server is www.replicawatch.info but don't forget it's only a test enviroment so anything you post will gone Monday. No sales to go up please. I'm good Cal........ sunnyguy365 0 Posted November 8, 2014 With the new server, what is the new ip and the http address going to be? or are they remaining the same? Share this post Link to post

profsteve 3 Posted November 8, 2014 down and up and a migration is never a pleasant sight - and less so for those doing the work- for the rest of us it is simply a time out for our addictive nature. Share this post Link to post
