Aren 27 Posted March 22, 2014 Thanks chaps, I have been wondering if she's been having an affair and is feeling guilty, or maybe she knows I'm got a terminal illness and isn't telling me. Either way I've got a lovely watch so I figure there's no point in worrying about it. Tip for the UK members, Goldsmiths Jewellers seem very happy to negotiate! Don't check the dental integrity of an equine gift.. As they say , me oul segosha Some people don't look a gift horse in the mouth...they jump on the saddle and ride! WOW CC...great watches. I must have been absent that day and missed this thread totally. Your missus is a keeper and judging by your mutual desires to make each other happy...she is a very fortunate lady herself. Congrats on the stunning watches. I am glad this thread came around again. Lovely!
Cyril_Clunge 0 Posted March 22, 2014 Thank you all, yes Aren, I am very lucky, particularly as I'm not sleeping in the car tonight I was initially going for the GoodPlanet GMT but when I compared it with the black GMT I decided I preferred the latter. Then, despite never having really liked the new subs I decided to try one on and once that happened I was hooked. The no date was the only option for me, not a fan of the cyclops. Despite being a much simpler watch than the PO GMT it is absolutely stunning in the flesh, I finally get what all the fuss is about. I have offered to make it up to Mrs C next time we're here but she doesn't seem very keen on the idea. I think she may have noticed me eyeing up a Datejust II as we left the jewellers! Cyril_Clunge 0 Posted June 29, 2014 Soooooooo.......a few months ago I dropped my Speedy and smashed the crystal so off to the Omega Service Centre it went. Yesterday I had to pop back to my favourite AD to collect it. As Mrs C and I walked up the High St I suddenly felt her hand grip my arm, Mrs C "We are only here to pick up your watch, don't even think about buying anything!" Me "Absolutely not dear, won't even have a look" Minutes later as we approached the shop, "I mean it, I don't want to see you even pausing to look in the window!" " Yes I get it, in, pay for repair, leave. No problem" So having been banned from even window shopping I enter the AD, get my Speedy and am about to pay when I hear "Dont pay just yet, I've just seen a necklace and some earrings I quite like, just going to try them on" 2 hours later we leave the shop, Mrs C happy that she's got some new jewellery and me happy that I've got my Speedy back. And REALLY happy because I got this too
