Steinheart Ocean Vintage

Well a few of the guys have been raving about these Steinhearts so I got myself one to try em for size.

This is the first of a couple of incoming that I ordered in the last few weeks.

I was lucky as this watch has been a pre-order only watch for some time but when I finally decided to pull the trigger I only had to wait a few days before shipping which was quick from Germany via Fedex.

Cost 295 Euros + about 30 for shipping, not much difference from a quality Rep.

This one is the Ocean Vintage which is to my liking as I'm a big fan of Rolex Divers and I was considering a vintage Rep anyway so I though may as well try one of these.

Well as per most reports I'm very impressed with everything about this watch.

I won't go into details as that's been covered before but basics is it has a Swiss 2824 and is rated at 200m WR.

It is really hard to get a pic as it doesn't seem to matter what angle or light I use the pic always shows reflection but this is not aparent with the naked eye, I'm not up on all things AR but I'm guessing that this has good AR when viewed in the metal as it were.

It's a little heavier than I'm used to as my main tool watch is a 16610 Sub which weighs in at around 130grams but this is around 190 so is quite noticeable at first.

I'll be wearing all day tomorrow so I'll see if I get used to it.

Presents as a much more expensive watch in a nice presentation box and the people at Steinheart were to the point so good to deal with.

I'll do a better review once I've had time to get to know it a little better.

I'll be going for one of their smaller pilots in the New Year but am a happy camper for now.

Cheers, Mark.
