Couple of more investments, as you may remember, my dust blower from the RWG kit has served me well, but it had started to spit crap out so replacement is a Bergeon model it mimicked.

Also wanted one of these for a while, its really handy for keeping your screwdrivers, and tweezers secure on your bench.

Both available from cousinsuk. :)

The next things on the list are, a second daylight watchmakers light for my second bench, a replacement jaw bezel tool. Cousins are sending me a replacement for free, and the Swiss version too :)

My Horotec press main shaft snapped on me whilst pressing in a Breitling crystal, was not happy, but again, cousinsuk have been really helpful and contacted Horotec for a replacement.

A quartz, yes, quartz Tissot replacement movement for my Tissot T670 rebuild.

And load of other stuff that I will detail here once they arrive. :)

This is such a GREAT thread - I really enjoy coming back to see everyones' additions. Thanks Mick!

BTW- I couldn't help but notice the "pith" wood chunks in the background of the dust blower pic. How and what do you use them for?

They are great for cleaning left over oil from my oilers, and also a quick stab with tweezers or screwdriver ensures the tips are clean before work :)

Good investments Olly. I used to have the same revolving A*F screwdriver set, good value for money, and great quality too.

I see you have a drawer, this is something I am working on, a couple of drawers unit, which one will house my polishing/buffing wheels on top in an enclosure under my bench with my drill press on.

You want to get the flex shaft for your dremel mate, so useful, and if you get yourself a mini vice, you can attach the flex shaft in the vice to create a mini grinding wheel/cutter etc.

Thats what i was thinking but i already have a belt sander in my garage. It has a cotton and felt wheel for polishing larger thing with less attention to detail. This new dremel has got a 3000-30000rpm range so it is perfect for buffing polished areas. I will get a mini vice soon also. Where do you get these flex shafts ? Sounds like a plan  I CBA to go out the the garage 3-5 times to get the polish right. ITs far easier to see under the extreme light in the watchmaking room

You can pick up universal flexi shafts on ebay for rotary tools, and also dremel specific ones there too mate.

Few photos of my latest set up.. As you can see, I'm still using a 1940's Herbert Anglepoise lamp over my right hand side bench, this will soon be replaced with another daylight. Then the Anglepoise will be moved to the tool area (far left) near drill press.

Work bench space is always a valuable resource, and I am always loping for ways to make new space, rearrange my layout etc. I wanted to do something with my Bergeon Final Test machine, and didn't really want to wall mount it as I have planned to put up a couple of shelves the length of my benches, so wanted something else.

I finally decided on investing in a flat screen tv stand with desk clamp, and modding the part which usually mounts the flat screen so I could attach my tester. :)

Here's a better shot. It can be moved through 180 degrees, and lowered if needed easily.

As you can see, loads of space freed up underneath, so another rearrangement is called for :)

I know exactly how you must feel my friend. Our old apartment was tiny, and I was unable to have a designated work area. Thankfully we moved to a massive apartment which I'm now reaping the benefits :)
