graman 2 Posted July 12, 2010 Hey all...I've skeletonised some hands of a pam, which were made for a 21 J movement. Currently chrome, but I'm thinking they'll be better in Black. Looking at a flat spray paint, followed by a matt clear over the top. So...question...do I look at an abrasive to help the paint adhere?....what is suggested? Cheers! KBH 7 Posted July 13, 2010 If they are clean with no oil the paint should adhere well enough. You'll need to be very careful installing them though. If you screw them up installing them you can always strip the paint with a little acetone. Other options are to scuff them up with some fine grit wet or dry sandpaper or put on a primer coat first for extra adhesion? You might find the biggest problem being spray cans putting out too much paint.

Tressles61 0 Posted July 13, 2010 Spray paint works for hands? Seems the spray would be too coarse.
