SSTEEL 0 Posted March 8, 2014 That's why the major watch manufacturers do the intial tests with the movement removed from the case. Doesn't much matter then what happens. Most of the time I remove the movement anyway after waterproofing a case. If WR Test only, I do a dry run above the water first, THEN wet.
SSTEEL 0 Posted March 27, 2014 Just had another go pop, crystal and bezel assembly sand to the bottom of the tube lol. Luckily the watch was hanging over the water when it gave way. I didn't shit myself this time, I half expected it to fail.

Haltec 0 Posted April 29, 2014 How the heck did backcase popped off ? Isn't it threaded ? Great topic btw. Can you please post more pics - or at least one hires of glass edge underside and innerside of L case profile where glass and case are "bonded" Are there any UV cement residues are visible ? SSTEEL 0 Posted April 29, 2014 The thread on the case back is the worst I've seem, only a single thread holding the case back on. Photos can be seen in my flickr, but watch is packaged and on the way back to the owner as I type now, so no additional photos. https://www.flickr.com/photos/gsi-r/
ag69 0 Posted April 29, 2014 Was your watch trolling through the 'Best of Boobs' posts in Section 8??

Haltec 0 Posted April 29, 2014 Thx. Those case threading process is nowhere to be found and explained properly. Along with mictomachining of dial indexes or logos *e.g Rollie crown or Tudor sign. I consider those - especially new Tudor, an almost an artwork.... Anyhow, great thread. Br Haltec
