ebzen02 341 Posted July 16, 2010 Maybe I've missed seeing them but I don't see any chronograph watches with alarms? Someday perhaps they will rep minute repeaters but until then there is no need to rep a casio
PatronSaintofChainsaws 1 Posted July 16, 2010 Maybe I've missed seeing them but I don't see any chronograph watches with alarms? Someday perhaps they will rep minute repeaters but until then there is no need to rep a casio Minute repeater != alarm. Minute repeaters chime the time, while an alarm movement....rings the alarm. Plus, most (all?) minute repeaters are manually triggered. There's a lack of readily available chrono-alarm movements, which would be the big stumbling block. The only affordable mechanical alarm that's readily available I can think of is the Russian manual-wind Poljot movement (which appears to be a clone of an 1950s-era Angelus alarm movement). http://poljot-times.com/russian-watches/de...php?cPath=21_25
Baldrick 1 Posted July 16, 2010 There are alarm reps, but not combined with a chrono function, I don't think!
ebzen02 341 Posted July 16, 2010 There are alarm reps, but not combined with a chrono function, I don't think! WTF...where can we get these? Edit: that TTK surely knew how to take pics
PatronSaintofChainsaws 1 Posted July 16, 2010 WTF...where can we get these? Edit: that TTK surely knew how to take pics I'd hazard a guess that these haven't been produced for some time. I've hunted around looking for alarm movement reps, but haven't found them. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places.
Baldrick 1 Posted July 16, 2010 That TTK surely could source some great reps, pity he ain't around no more

Baldrick 1 Posted July 16, 2010 Not only was TTK a good photographer, he had a bloody knack of finding stuff that you can't get from anyone else, I remember he had the ONLY, yes, ONLY, Van der Bauwede rep that I've ever seen, so rare that IIRC Eddilee actually bought one from him, I wish I could find that photo, it was rectangular and rotating 'square' bezel turned within the dimensions of the case, extraordinary. I'm digging out the ouija board tonite, see if I can find the source for some of these, especially that Master Compressor!
