GardnerMS 0 Posted January 3, 2014 Hi there Just picked mine up as well fantastic watch I have to say, I'm also a noob but I have one or two questions. 1 is what is the button do on the left 2 how is it powered Cheers mate 1) Button the left isn't a button ,but a replica of the helium release valve on a gen PO Skyfall.. On the gen, it's used by divers to release gases that might build up in the case while diving at lower depths. On the replica, it doesn't do anything (I wouldn't go diving with a replica without having someone do a pressure test on it and treating the gaskets and the He escape valve to make the case waterproof… and even after that, I'd still remove it before swimming) … Curious though, if the valve actually turns.. I have a 45.5mm CrPO and the helium valve doesn't even turn. 2) The picture of the movement is too blurry for me to identify.. Did you buy it from a TD? They should mention on their website what movement is powering the watch.. For example, on my CrPO, the movement is described as "Nickle Plated Asian Clone 2836 Automatic Movement" Wear it in good health.. I got my Skyfall from a non-TD site (before discovering this forum) and while nice, doesn't look this nice (nor does it have the exhibition case back) mG
jackthelux 0 Posted January 3, 2014 Hi! The movement is a Nickle Plated Swiss Eta 2824-2 Automatic movement. And i get it from a TD! I have to say that it keep time very well!
