scozzie 0 Posted January 2, 2014 Hi Guys, Just wanted to share. I was getting sick of watches and watch boxes causing clutter so I decided to make a watch box over the Christmas break and get everything tidied up. It was going to be a simple affair, but you know how these things go. Anyway it is all done now so I thought I would let you see my handy work. It is not perfect, but I am quite happy with it, and it also has some 'growing room'. enjoy Glamour shots: Action Shots: Extra drawer for rings/cufflinks etc: I am an IT geek, not a carpenter, so I am really very happy with how this turned out, and I think it is quite a handsome piece of furniture. (and my watches love it - now just fighting over who gets the penthouse!) Ken

ShovelnTC 31 Posted January 2, 2014 There's no way I would have gotten away with spending my break building that, not when there is sooooo much to repair around the house! Nice work.

scozzie 0 Posted January 2, 2014 Thanks Guys, It is the first time I have tried inlay, and it can out quite well. Filling the drawers is the easy part. The missus did raise an eyebrow at the two empty drawers. Said I now have to build something for her shoes.

Chrisby 1 Posted January 2, 2014 I have to say like others here I laughed when you said you'd gone overboard. However I did compensate SLIGHTLY..... When I saw the first picture I realised I greatly underestimated the extent of your exaggeration Superb piece of homemade furniture... Really puts the shelf I put up over Christmas to shame Now get filling it... I can't wait for the second of the pair you make!
