NFleischer 4,355 Posted January 10, 2014 The thing I notice is the Rep Dial looks a lot darker in the pix.
Khronos 1,339 Posted January 13, 2014 Can anybody tell me how these compare to the Panerai PAM243? I'm having trouble deciding which one to buy. Used to have a 243, but ended up selling it..don't know why really..I'd like to know if AP is much smaller and lighter? I have found the 243 to be just right and I'm afraid this one would be too small for me.

Piccolo 674 Posted January 22, 2014 I received my V5 from Toro today - really pleased, quality is great. I had read about the small flaws listed in this thread and without the side by side you'd be hard pushed to notice. With reference to the post by PolatA regarding the strap quality the gen is just as thick but has more flexibility, the rep feels more 'brittle'. I think the rep also has more graining within the rubber than the gen. Again, these are relatively small flaws and easily corrected with a gen strap.

edgematic 0 Posted February 9, 2014 All i can say is that the V4.1 is closer imo. Case finish is better on the V5. I once had a picture of V5 vs Gen vs V4.1. I sold my v5 but can post pics of V4.1 vs gen

MHardiman 0 Posted February 25, 2014 Excuse my ignorance, but what's the best way to wind these watches?
Kal-el 0 Posted February 25, 2014 I think Its always best to regularly hand wind any type of watch. Read this: http://www.bernardwatch.com/blog/why-is-it-important-to-wind-my-automatic-with-the-crown/
nyckid 0 Posted February 25, 2014 35 (approx.) hand winds and leave the rest to kinetic movement
MHardiman 0 Posted February 25, 2014 So for the V5 what position is the wind on the crown? 1? I've never bought an AP.
nyckid 0 Posted February 25, 2014 Don't really understand your question but let me try: As same as all other watches? Why would it be different? And if you are still confused: wind it upwards
zero_deficit 0 Posted February 25, 2014 So for the V5 what position is the wind on the crown? 1? I've never bought an AP. Like virtually any other screw down crown Screwed down position: counter clockwise to unscrew 1 - clockwise to wind 2 - clockwise for quick date 3 - clockwise to move time forward
MHardiman 0 Posted February 25, 2014 Pulling the trigger with TSWatch today as they have the cheapest V5. Living in the USA, replies take so long since the time difference...
