PhillyRock 0 Posted April 17, 2014 I voted for the bed spread because I'm sleepy. G-night all =) :giggle: :giggle:
axled 0 Posted April 17, 2014 Though both are the same size, the sub wears bigger because of the wider lugs and crown guards. When you look at the gens side by side, it is quite noticeable. on my average sized 7 inch wrist its just enough to make me choose the sub c
zinnboy 0 Posted April 25, 2014 Great watches and fabulous comparison.
jd1566 8 Posted May 13, 2014 A latecommer to the discussion. Current owner of a TC sub, ready to take the plunge on a 16600 SD, so will be able to "vote" soon enough.. I did a comparison a few years back of a gen sub and sd on my wrist for a few days (the seller was very keen!) and I couldn't handle the SD back then - I woke up in the morning with my arm asleep because of the heavy watch and bracelet.. However just take the watch off it's oyster and put it on a strap and it becomes something completely different - it makes the watch more comfortable to wear while at the same time making the watch look bigger! Kind of wierd.. So I'm assuming the same with the SD, easier to wear but more chunky (without looking like a bloated Deep Sea - hope I haven't offended anyone who likes those beasts.. Should Call the deep sea the Lock Ness Monster!). While I'm at it does anyone have side by side pics of a TC dial and the stock SD dial? I've heard the lettering is a bit more precise and thin on the TC, but I'd like to see for myself (without having to buy anything of course - that's what these forums exist for, yes? )
zinnboy 0 Posted May 13, 2014 Thanks for the comparison now I know I can wear a classic sea-dweller

BC1221 44 Posted September 2, 2014 Classic all the way. All the new ceramic ones are just fugly The classics had curves where the Cermaics seem like the short fat girl. The cermaic almost had me when they shortly did thr milsub like bezel with the min trackers all around. I might pic a rep of one of those. Those arnt bad looking. If I had to pick from gens though the ever so rare 16660 The mark of the beast

bill90 0 Posted November 4, 2014 I am in the same dilemma..After failed to buy a dssd i m thinking of buying a good rep model at a good price.I prefer ceramic bezels, cause they are shinier and the subc seems a little bigger, but i see that the SD from BP seems to be one of the best reps out there (for rolex). Cyanus1 0 Posted March 22, 2015 I go with the SD... I simply love that watch. I didn't like Rollies for a long time, until I got a SD... that was it, since then my Rollies get 90% wrist time :-) Got a DSSD D-Blue, and it is just a great watch. I am going to get a BK DSSD soon, as I read so many good things about BKs builds so I simply have to have one. Great thread, great pics. Cheers Alex
BC1221 44 Posted March 22, 2015 I've got to get one of those Seadwellers!! Never been a fan of the ceramic rolexes. The classic Seadweller is a beaut though. I'd shave the crown guards a bit and maybe do TC hands. Let me know if you ever sell this beauty
Daywatch 4 Posted March 22, 2015 Wow - old thread bumped up, still a great watch and nowadays one of the reps with the best price/quality ratio - by far
JMMC 0 Posted March 26, 2015 I do not like cyclops, so SD always :-)

Clinkinfo 0 Posted September 16, 2015 I like the sub. Perfect balance of style and function, and that classic Rolex look I think of when I see the brand
