sconehead 5 Posted January 12, 2014 My '88 168000 Sub, 25 years old...so I consider it vintage now... If 25 is vintage, what are you? pre historic? ...'prolly...but not as ancient as your 'tache if the carbon dating results are correct... Just jealous about the silver tache. :P ...maybe, maybe not...I've often wondered, what colour was it in your younger days?

Olly 0 Posted January 13, 2014 Very nice Olly! Didn't you do a thread on this as you were going along restoring it? Yes I did mate It doesn't look like that now ! I decided to service it again because the escape wheel wasn't sitting correctly between the two jewels but in doing the service I put all the parts in an ultrasonic cleaner which destroyed the DWO and the escapement wheel will not sit at all. And to make it worse, I wound the watch up a bit and something g slipped out of alignment which in turn ground the gears off the 2nd Wheel !!!! Now I need to go find 60 year old parts ! Wish me luck!! Olly

Olly 0 Posted January 13, 2014 I've called them and sent them emails and apparently there was no 613 Cal with a manual date funtion. Omega them self don't know what the F**** they're doing !!!!! eBay is my only option ! I've found a complete movement but it isn't running ! I guess that will keep me busy !
