HWG 11 Posted January 14, 2014 I am not sure of the age, but this belonged to my Grandfather. Chris at 10:10 did a nice restoration for me. about 35mm IIRC, and a hand wind movement.

Baldrick 1 Posted January 14, 2014 Kleen: - albeit a complete fantasy... Don't you just love it when some noob 'HOROLOGICAL EXPERT' know it all tries to eat his shoe...... "complete fantasy" ... really..... a slightly different font and the word automatic doesn't render it a 'complete fantasy' .... !!! http://www.collector...atch-hand-wound http://www.chrono24....--id2017688.htm
Kleen™ 45 Posted January 14, 2014 Ah, well - 'complete' might be a fairly incomplete stipulation of the fontographic fallacy involved in the replication of the dial, but none-the-less: a fantasy it is. But overall, it's closer than I would've thunk....;-)
Baldrick 1 Posted January 14, 2014 There's no such thing as fantasy when you're dealing with 'vintage' watches....ask those members who are buying fantasy 'vintagised ' fake Panerai and deluding themselves that they're ACTUALLY buying a little bit of Panerai history
Kleen™ 45 Posted January 14, 2014 'Fantasy' (unless we're getting in to nocturnal drill-exercises etc..) is just another example of the ridiculous shortcomings ofrep-teminology: I guess it can encompass pawetty much from anything to nuthin'...and then some. But to me, it's a term I interpret and use to describe whether I recognize it as 'having the DNA' of the brand of watch I'm looking at - and in that respect it failed... PAMs seems to be a chapter on their own, that I've just begun taking a peek @...
Baldrick 1 Posted January 14, 2014 It's a clone.....without any DNA.....but if you think it doesn't have ANY mitochondreal aspects...then go grow some tulips....I'm sure the market is still there
Kleen™ 45 Posted January 14, 2014 It does have 'some' IWC in it - just not enough to convince me it wasn't a pffffantasie....;-) (had to look up mikoton...milo..mitchola.....the bloody m-word, ferfuxsakes....)

James. 4 Posted January 15, 2014 That is a real beaut! - albeit a complete fantasy... Not a fantasy at all. It's a rep of a IWC 3254. A very, very beautiful watch. -edit- I can see this has already been covered above :P
