If it's an automatic it's not a 65 what I believe what you have is a 68 by the shape of the case and the location of the crown. That's the watch that got the Japanese banned from the Chronometer certifications. Basically the Seiko took a watch off the line that then out preformed or did just as well as all the special custom made watches submitted by the European brands. After 68 only Swiss made watches were allowed to be certified.

 

Still a beaut of a watch

this two movements are still waiting for some nice cases. unfortunately customs seized the case for the 6152/1 4 liner build and i need to invent a plausible story to get it back…

yes, gen 618 :) it's meant to go into a 6154 build with cream dial.
