Kleen™ 45 Posted January 13, 2014 oooooh, luv'ly poke.... Thanks I need some proper hand now . I have a poke with ceramic dial that I inherited from me great-grandfather: He bought it 100 years ago (1914) in a small, local watchshop. The movement is a (very) slowbeat Omega - but it still runs like a charm, despite its age...;-) Sorry; ceramic is not the right term - it's porcelain... J!m 289 Posted January 14, 2014 And then there's this. It is an old picture, but it looks the same... 25 years? This is certainly vntage then. 30 years this year! This one is even older- Swiss hand-wind from 1977 Start Wars release...

J!m 289 Posted January 14, 2014 More pocket watches- his-n-hers matched set... The ladies was worn on a ribon around the neck... I don't have a lot of info on these and they both need service which I may undertake... Solid gold cases I believe, but I don't have them in-hand to confirm that right now (and it doesn't matter because they are not for sale)

J!m 289 Posted January 14, 2014 Liking the patina on the sword hands mate That's genuine Dunkin Donuts coffe stain! Let sit for a month or so, and then try to clean with Rodico. The sugar seems to stick well (a wet wash would probably remove it all) but they look old, but not over-aged. The watch is from the 70's, not the 50's!
