Hublot BigBang ss/ceramic v6 A7750 vs Quartz

Recommended Posts

Why spend lots of $$ if you can settle with a quartz version?

Which should you choose?:

Gen is aprox $12,000, rep v6 $398 and quartz $148.

I have had both, but has now given the quartz version to my son.

The v6, I got from MR and the quartz version from WI (still in stock)

There are many reviews to be found on the forum here, so will not say much about them.

A friend of mine has the gen and there is no doubt that the v6 is very gen like.

Maybe one of the best Hublot reps....

So, how is this the quartz version? Is it any good?

There is obviously a difference between sub dials features since it is a quartz, but all of them works. The movement is from Japanese Miyota and should be very good.

It appears that it is the same case for both, but the v6 ss seems to be more polished ... more shiny.

There is also another bezel on the quartz. I also believe that the bezel is glued and not screwed,on the quartz version.

The case back is from the Tiuga version and is very well made.

It was also 3 bar waterproof out of the box!

I'm not sure, but there are two versions of the gen - one with white DW and one with black DW. Can appear like that the 41mm has white and 44mm version have black.

Do you have a low budget or have a job that can give the watch a lot of beating .... select the quarts version, is my opinion

Nice post, interesting about the size difference in reference to the date wheel. I wasn't even aware the Big Bangs came in 41mm and I just purchased an unknown version with the white date wheel and have been searching for a bit now trying to find reference to it. Also it has the a7750 with the blue screws (bleck!) but in my experience that's been the one that works great as I've had a few now with black or silver screws and something has gone wrong. Do you know of any links to Gen's for sale with the white date wheel? It's the only thing on the dial that is off for me.

Just to have mentioned it again, there are never guarantees that a rep is waterproof!!!

On the quarts version I got today, the crystal popped out at 3 bar.....

Btw, the quartz version weight is 135g and the a7750 is 149g
