Higs 73 Posted February 10, 2014 Loving the rugged military look. This is amazing. Dat strap!! Pick your brain for where you got this and the strap? Congrats! It's a brass Armida A8 with a strap made by Donerix (Hamilton Leather). I bought them together on here from HWG. The watch is supplied with two inserts, a solid bronze one and one with an insert. HWG swapped it over to the solid insert and gave the watch some age/patina (using Ammonia , I think). elp 26 Posted February 10, 2014 My first build! CONGRATS on the build, E.! Anyone who can do this is OUTSTANDING in my book! dave Thanks Dave, it was a fun project. I completely underestimated the effort involved though - I bought a homage from Jackson, then a pocketwatch on the bay for its movement and hands, relumed the hands and a new dial, discovered the sandwich dial was too thick to support the seconds hand so had to go back to a sausage dial, fit a new stem, etc. I have learned a hell of a lot in the process thanks to the various fora contributors here & HF mainly, and have now started my second build - yeah!
