gtwc 1 Posted August 3, 2010 Hello anyone & everyone.... Firstly : I have emailed Davidsen for more details / price on his Pam 172 Tantalium watch. Does anyone here have any experience with this model ????? and #2 : on some Panerai the marks "reg" and "T.M." are clearly visible on the crown protector. On a lot of others, they are not. Is there a 'hard & fast' rule that dictates which watches sport these markings........ it's getting kinda time consuming (pardon the watch type pun) checking the reps with the gens... Any help will be gladly received....!!! rgds / rod AKA gwtc
Member X 91 Posted August 3, 2010 I have no idea. They all look much the same to me... [/antagonising the PAM lovers]
TAGster 5 Posted August 3, 2010 I do not know which PAM model(s) should have those markings, in fact I´ve seen gen PAMs without that REG T.M. marks.
Silverspeed 10 Posted August 3, 2010 Haven't seen many PAM 172 reps...but if DSN makes them it'll probably be the best available 172 rep. It won't be real close to gen, the gen is made of brushed tantalium which has a very unique grey/blueish sheen to it. The rep is made of normal stainless steel plus the hands colour will most likely be off as with most blue colours in reps...which is actually weird, perhaps the Chinese don't like blue But it doesn't really matter...the gen was a special edition with only 300 pieces made 7 years ago, so the change of running in to someone with the gen is as small as winning the lottery 'Reg' and 'TM' marking on the crown guard are only on the 1950 cases..AFAIK
