cigator 0 Posted August 4, 2010 I'm looking to order a Rolex DSSD. I like BK's offering, but I sense the turnaround time may be long. Several other sites offer the same base model and quality but not BK's QC and mods. Any opinions if it's worth the wait for the extras you get with BK. I'm also in the USA, and I have found that BK is based in the USA, so it wouldn't involve customs on my end. Any thoughts would be appreciated. One more thing. How come I can't use a photo on my PC for an avatar, I have to import it from a URL? I don't know how to do that since my photos are all on my pc, any help there would also be appreciated. skintrade 0 Posted August 4, 2010 I am waiting on a couple from BK and from the research I have done it should be well worth it.
Member X 91 Posted August 4, 2010 I have the blue cerachrome sub from BK - I'm very happy with it! (I posted a review in the Rolex section, I think :P) The correct datewheel font removes what would be a major 'tell' IMO, and the ability of BK to check the bezel isn't cracked, the pearl is aligned, and the crystal is pressed correctly are very good things in my book. His turnround time shouldn't be too bad on the DSSD or the ceramic subs - they are essentially off the shelf watches that he is modding and QCing for you. The WM9 watches are the ones that can take a while as he has to get the parts shipped over then build them up himself, and WM9 take ages to develop their new watches! mrtepax 0 Posted August 4, 2010 Again, it depends on what you're looking for: if you want the best (or nearly) on the market, it's worth; if a 60$ replica is enough for you, obviously not.
