zeke4life 0 Posted August 4, 2010 Ok so I was thinking about buying a rolex submariner from the Timeshop promotion and well the asian 21 j is 40, asian copy 93 and swiss eta 2836 cost 129. So does that stuff effect the overall quality or does it just effect the movement. And do they all have sweeping second hands or do some tick like a regualr watch? KBH 7 Posted August 5, 2010 AFAIK they are all the same case, bracelet, etc. The only difference might be sapphire crystal vs mineral glass on the cheap ones. You'd need to ask Mark about that. The A21j beat at 6 tics per second and the Etas and clones tick at 8. It's a slight difference that most people would never notice.
zeke4life 0 Posted August 5, 2010 Thanks I'll probably the 21 j since it's only 40 bucks and if I don't like it I'll replace it or buy a new watch
KBH 7 Posted August 5, 2010 I just got a 21j TS Sub last week and it's a fine watch, especially for the money. I fully wound it and a eta sub and not only did it keep better time but the power reserve was 45:25 compared to 42:20 for the Eta.
