theflyingdutchman 0 Posted August 5, 2010 Hi, Have you ever asked your self what the inner life of a HBB buckle/clasp looks like? Well I have! Yesterday the RG-V2 buckle jammed (= would not stay closed) and I decided to take it apart! Under the clasp top: 1. the buckle cover is glued down and the screws are also glued in. They are fakes (on a fake buckle). Nice to see how cheaply made this is, as only the visible buckle part is plated! By pushing the clasp base a side and pressing the steel pin in, you can open the clasp. It does need quite a bit of force! After opening, the buckle “jumped†apart and pieces flow around the room After trying to put it together again! FXXK! - which did not work! No idea how they do this in China! Smaller hands? Better eyes? The inner life is make of 2 feathers, the pin in the middle holding the buckle top in place and the clasp-arms: My summary is; do not take a HBB buckle apart to try to fix it! Regards, Dutchy! P.S. one of my V1 buckles (6 weeks old) has the same jamming problem! I will send it back!
