Bi-PolarBear 0 Posted August 8, 2010 (edited) Hello All! What a nice forum! I've learned a lot about the rep world in the couple of days I've been here. Little about myself....Name is Micah (that's Mike with a short a on the end) I work sales in Billings, MT. Yup that's right Brokeback Country Montana. I've always been drawn to top shelf watches but live on a beer budget like most everyone else. The first watch I purchased was off of shopnbc.com. It's a Phillip with an authentic Vailjoux 7750. Love the watch and it only set me back about 700 bucks. I own a couple other Invicta's. I'm happy with them but I've wanted an Omega Seamaster for years, just can't justify or better yet afford to buy one. So that brings me here. I've seen the rep review sites and fortunately wasn't sucked into spending any money on one. Awesome info here and I'm going to pull the trigger on my first watch. I think I'm going to buy from Mary and I'm stuck between the Omega Planet Ocean Casino Royale 007 Black Dial w/ Rubber Strap and the Omega SEAMASTER GMT Blue Dial. Both with the ETA 2836-2 movements. Can anyone with experience with these two watches give me some pointers in what to ask Mary to look for as to quality control? Luthier 1 Posted August 8, 2010 Authentic Vailjoux 7750, huh...? Are you suuuuure...? Anyway, welcome to the forum! Soon you'll learn plenty about PP's with "authentic" Valjoux... hehehe... And about Mary - no need to ask about quality control, she do it on every watch. Just tell her what'd you want exactly, and you'll get it. Good luck! P.S. We would be glad to see your Patek pictures, especially closeup shot of the movement.

greg_r 84 Posted August 8, 2010 Mary does QC on every watch she sells, so you don't really have to worry on that score. If she's not happy with the watch, she won't send it. You'll also get a photo of the watch for approval before despatch, so you can check for any obvious cosmetic problems. Whichever watch you decided to go with (or both! ), you won't go far wrong. coolin 0 Posted August 8, 2010 Hi Micah and welcome Although I haven't bought from Mary my mate just took delivery of a 45mm UPO and very nice it is too search for his pics and quick review I had it on my wrist yesterday and compared it to the cheaper version I got off Robert. You mention you fancy a bond seamster well my other mate on here torment07 struggled to get a bond from mary but got a really nice one from member to member sales I was well impressed with the QC and although I prefer the non bond edition it was faultless Col

Philip Blaze Valjioux 7750 I would hope the watch I paid for came with an authentic 7750 movement
Luthier 1 Posted August 8, 2010 I thought it was Patek. Seems you got real 7750 for $600, lucky you!!!
Ska 11 Posted August 8, 2010 Welcome to RWG Micah - Looks like you've realised already that you've found the right place! Love the Philip - Nice watch and given that its from ShopNBC I think you're safe in assuming its a genuine Valjoux! I've used Mary for every rep I've bought and she's been absolutely fantastic throughout. Her quality control is second to none in my opinion. The first watch I bought from her was an Ultimate Omega Planet Ocean Chronograph with Asian 7750 movement and it is absolutely incredible. Just tell Mary exactly what you want and send her a photo and she'll find it for you! All the best and good luck Ska
Bi-PolarBear 0 Posted August 8, 2010 (edited) Pulled the trigger on this watch earlier today. Smooooth transaction with Mary. Emailed her with the specs and she contacted me quickly. Said she should have in on Monday and would send picks. I'm stoked! I know I'm in trouble after I get it. Pocketbook trouble that is. I have a hard enough time not buying more Invicta's. Once I start getting good looking reps, I'll have to start with selling one of the kids to a roving band of gypsies I'll make sure and give a review and pic's once I get it.
