Akira 0 Posted August 8, 2010 Hi all I am interested in purchasing an Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean. But I am not quite sure which movement i should take and if its worth the extra money. The models to choose: Omega PO Chrono 7750 Valjoux 28800 BPH about $270 on Replicamake Omega PO Non-Chrono Swiss 2824-2 $268 from Mary Omega PO Non-Chrono Asian 2824-2 $168 from Mary Omega PO Non-Chrono Asian 21J about $105 from Narikaa I am getting an AP Offshore, so this Omega will be my dress-watch or if i dont want to catch too much wrist-attention...but still attention I read reviews from allergydoc and skathewatch about the different models they bought... but it did not quite help me to decide which one is the best for me. So please help me Flo
JohnG 41 Posted August 8, 2010 If it is for dress, probably best a non-chrono model, get the Narikaa, they say it is AWESOME. Unless you let someone hold it up to their nose for a minute or so AND they know about different beat rates, they MIGHT be able to tell it is not 28,800 bps. The extra money is not worth it, really. Get the Narikaa and with the difference get another. Also, Prestige has one with a ceramic bezel insert, looks nice, also for cheap.
Luthier 1 Posted August 8, 2010 Omega PO Non-Chrono Asian 2824-2 $168 from Mary That would be my choice. Same quality as Swiss ETA, and not "ticking", like 21J. But you are the buyer, you decide.
Ska 11 Posted August 8, 2010 +1 luthier. Mary's QC means the Asian clone should be fine. And the sweep compared to the 21j makes a BIG difference.

mondeov6 0 Posted August 8, 2010 I recently bought my OP (45mm) from Narikaa and I am very satisfied with it! The OP non-chrono is a very stylish watch indeed. You will be proud to own one whatever OP model you finally choose. Rolf

JohnG 41 Posted August 8, 2010 RM is Lay, a dealer here and a damn good one too. Col. See what happens when you have all these "sections" - if it doesn't get posted in GD or OT, for me, it doesn't exist. So, we now have a dealer named Lay. Like the potato chip. Baldrick 1 Posted August 8, 2010 You're in Germany, get it from Narikaa, he's based in the UK, cherry-picks all his watches, inspects them all personally and is best placed to service you in Germany from the UK rather than risk the attention of German Customs towards any packet coming from China! coolin 0 Posted August 9, 2010 I couldn't decide Black or Orange so the easy fix is get one of each like me and put a rubber strap on the Black it changes its look enough to warrant having them both IMO Col
