themoo-12 0 Posted August 9, 2010 Is there a good way to just get rid of the sec@6 function on a daytona and make it function? I just need the watch to work to tell me the time. Im not super picky about all the little bells and whistles on it because 99% of people arent even gonna care. Any help is great!
greg_r 83 Posted August 9, 2010 I believe some people have had the second hand 'frozen'. I have no clue what is involved, however.
prestigewatchco 2 Posted August 9, 2010 In that event just as well buy the 21j
trailboss99 996 Posted August 9, 2010 Easy fix, it just involves removing a gear. You may as well just get the 21j tho unless you need the stopwatch function. Or you could get a quartz model. The 'tick' of the second hand is hard to see and less noticeable than the total absence of movement. Col.
NFleischer 4,355 Posted August 9, 2010 I did one. I had bought it from the famous Eurotimez, I'm not sure exactly what gear he took out, but the watch has been working well since then (2 years or so). I wouldn't recommend doing that unless the watch has alot of problems. Its a last ditch solution.
