trailboss99 996 Posted February 21, 2014 Hey guys, the Tech Team are hard at work. The mysql server keeps crashing and we are currently working out if it's an internal issue or if we are being hit. News as it develops but don't forget I keep different hours to most of you lot. Share this post Link to post

trailboss99 996 Posted February 21, 2014 Looks like it's most likely to some form of attack, we are trying to confirm that now but please remember our tech people all have real jobs to worry about as well as RWI. Rest assured they are doing the best they can. Share this post Link to post

big_raji 0 Posted February 28, 2014 (edited) Looks like there are a handful of websites down right now due to some big DNS servers being attacked. dns*.name-services.com are experiencing DDOS attacks, so many DNS queries are going unanswered. RWI is one of the websites that probably has their DNS hosted by a registrar like namecheap.com or similar. Results from http://dnscheck.ping...lica-watch.info Nameserver dns1.name-services.com. Name server dns1.name-services.com (98.124.192.1) does not answer queries over TCP. The name server failed to answer queries sent over TCP. This is probably due to the name server not correctly set up or due to misconfgured filtering in a firewall. It is a rather common misconception that DNS does not need TCP unless they provide zone transfers - perhaps the name server administrator is not aware that TCP usually is a requirement.
