[Review] Longines Master collection MoonPhase Choronograph[Heavy pics]

Recommended Posts

rolexlume

Hello everyone,

This will be a short review about the Longines Master collection MoonPhase.

This watch orginally bought from Angus some of you know him as Puretime - for those who don't know

he is a TD on RepGeek forum, maybe on other forums too, i don't remember right now

but for me is from a great member here in this forum that give me an extraordinary service - thank you SmoothyWoothy:)

There is many versions of this watch - SS bracelet, black leather, brown leather, RG case, SS case and even a two tone one SS/RG.

The movement is A7751 Chronograph.

I didn't review the strap becuse this is a Gen strap.

This watch is much appreciated by the MoonPhase fans - he has a beautiful indicator on 6 o'clock.

Now for some other functions -

Fully worked chronograph(2 o'clock, start/pause , 4 o'clock reset).

Running 60 sec on 9 o'clock by the tiny hand

Running 24 hours on 9 o'clock by the larger hand.

Running 30 min on 12 o'clock.

Runing 12 hours on 6 o'clock.

Magnificent Moon shape date hand.

Month name and day name on 12 o'clock.

Now for the eye candy -

This is not Sardonix high grade level pics  but its the best i can do right now with my phone camera guys.

Seems like the only Longines to get love is the hydro, glad to see another model. Wear it in good health.

Could someone confirm whether the calendar is a perpetual calendar? In other words, does the date automagically jump from feb 28 to mar 1 (for instance) or do you have to manually adjust the date at the end of each month?

Of course it doesn't, perpetuals are over 15000$ and the gen of this one is under 2k

Just received mine today from TSWatchLtd. They should have more...

Cannot figure out how to add a picture to this post without more reading. Maybe later.

OG.

On my list to go with the two genuine Longines in the watch cabinet (Evidenza chrono and A7 Avigation monopusher).

Might be a Xmas present to self if Josh can find me one.

how do you guys who have the rep find the movement? is it strong, reliable etc? any rotor noises?

I absolutely love this watch but i'm hesitant with the a7751 movement, especially if its anything like the a7750

I use it definitively not as a daily beater, so for now it only ran 1 week... Can't say anything about it by now :)

Regarding the strap - 21mm lugs? Does the strap measure 20mm?
